जब हम ये कहना चाहते हैं कि हम या कोई अन्य
कर्ता किसी काम को करने वाला है तो हम Subject + is
/ am / are +about to (going to) + V1 + Object /
C.O.S. का प्रयोग करते हैं;
जैसे:
1. मैं आज बनारस जाने वाला हूँ।
I am about to go to Banaras today.
Or I am going to go to Banaras today.
2. तुम ऐसा नहीं करने वाले हो।
You are not about to do this.
Or You are not going to do this.
3. वे कल आने वाले हैं।
They are about to come tomorrow.
Or They are going to come tomorrow.
4. क्या तुम ये एक बार फिर से करने वाले हो?
Are you about to do this/it again?/
Or Are you going to do this/it again?
हाँ।
Yes, I am.
5. अब तुम क्या करने वाले हो ?
What are you about to do now?
Or What are you going to do now?
6. वो इस रविवार को कहाँ जाने वाली है ?
Where is she about to go (on) this Sunday?
7. वो आने ही वाला है।
He is just about to come.
8. पिछली बार हमने उनके साथ धोका किया
था इसी लिये वो आज हमारे साथ नहीं खेलने
वाले हैं।
We cheated them last time, so ( that's why)
they are not about to play with us.
10. देवेंद्र इस दौड़ में भाग नहीं लेने वाला है।
Devendra is not about to participate (run)
in this race.
11. तुम कैसे जाने वाले हो?
How are you about to go?
12. वो तुमसे कभी माँफी नहीं मांगने वाला।
He is never about to apologize to you.
13. निशा हमेशा के लिए यहाँ से जाने वाली है।
Nisha is about to go from here forever.
Or Nisha is about to leave here forever.
14. हमने उसे इतना परेशान किया है कि वो अब हमारी
मदद नहीं करने वाला।
We have bothered him so much ( in such
a manner ) that he is not about to help us.
15. आपने उसे इस तरह से डांट दिया है कि वो दोवारा
क्लास में नहीं आने वाली।
You have scolded her in such a manner that
she is not about to come to attend the class
again.
Be (was/were) - Past
Subject + was/were + about to (going to)
+ V1+ Object. / C.O.S.
जब हम ये कहना चाहते हैं कि हम या कोई अन्य
कर्ता किसी काम को करने वाला था तो हम Subject
+ was/were +about to (going to) + V1 + Object
/ C.O.S. का प्रयोग करते हैं;
जैसे:
1. मैं आने वाला था।
I was about to come.
Or I was going to come.
2. मुझे पता था कि आप उसकी मदद नहीं करने वाले थे।
I knew that you were not about to help her/him.
Or I knew that you were not going to help her/him.
3. सूरज अस्त होने वाला था।
The sun was about to set down.
Or The sun was going to set down.
4. क्या आप उसे सच बताने वाले थे।
Were you about to tell him/her the truth?
Or Were you going to tell him/her the truth?
5. वो काम ख़त्म करके आने वाला था।
He was about to come, having finished the work.
Or He was going to come, having finished the work.
6. वो गुड़िया इतनी खूबसूरत थी की मैं उसे अपनी बेटी के
लिए खरीदने वाला था।
That doll was so beautiful that I was about to
buy it for my daughter.
Or That doll was so beautiful that I was going to
buy it for my daughter.
7. वे अच्छा खेल रहे थे और वे मैच जीतने वाले थे।
They were playing well and they were about to
win the match.
Or They were playing well and they were going to
win the match.
8. आप उस वक्त क्या करने वाले थे?
What were you about to do at that time?
Or What were you going to do at that time?
9. वो कहाँ से वापस आने वाली थी?
From where was she about to come back?
Or From where was she going to come back?
10. मैं उसे पैसे देने ही वाला था पर वो नाराज़ होकर
चली गई।
I was just about to give her money, but she
got angry and went away.
Or I was just going to give her money, but she
got angry and went away.
Be (will/shall + be ) - Future
Subject + will/shall + be + about to (going to)
+ V1+ Object. / C.O.S.
जब हम ये कहना चाहते हैं कि हम या कोई अन्य
कर्ता किसी काम को करने वाला था तो हम Subject +
will/shall + be + about to (going to)+ V1+ Object.
/ C.O.S. का प्रयोग करते हैं;
जैसे:
1. कहीं मत जाईये, वो आने ही वाले होंगे।
Please, don't go anywhere, he will just be
about to come.
2. कल मैं इस समय रायसेन पहुँचने वाला होऊँगा।
I will be about to reach Raisen at this time
tomorrow.
3. जल्दी करो! बस आने वाली होगी।
Hurry up! The bus will be about to come.
4. सारा कचरा बाहर फेक दो, पापा आने ही वाले होंगे।
Throw out all the garbage, Papa will be about
to come.
5. वो दुकान बंद करने वाला होगा।
He will be about to close the shop.
